Holcombe Hockey Club’s Premier Division fixtures for the 2024/25 season have been confirmed, with both first-teams kicking off the season with a home double-header against Wimbledon.
Consecutive away games for both teams then follow, including a double-header at Hampstead & Westminster on Saturday, 5th October with back-to-back home games coming after that against Old Georgians (12th) and Surbiton (19th) for our Men with our Women facing the University of Birmingham (12th) and Reading (19th).
The home double-header against Surbiton and Reading form part of a two-game weekend for both sides, with both Kwan Browne & Nick Bandurak’s teams travelling to East Grinstead on Sunday, 20th October.
Both teams finish Phase One of their Premier Division campaign with three home matches in five, including a home double-header on the final day against the University of Nottingham (Women) and Beeston (Men).
Following Phase One, both sides will play their indoor hockey in the Super 6s Premier Division in January across two weekends, needing to finish in the top-four to qualify for the Super 6s Finals Day on Sunday, 26th January.
Outdoor hockey returns for the Premier Division in early March, with the league splitting into the top-six and bottom-six for Phase Two.
Five matches follow against each team in the same split, with the top-six then being joined by the top-two from the bottom-six and being split into two pools of four for Phase Three.
Each side plays three matches in their pool (points reset at the start of Phase Three) and the top-two from each pool qualify for League Finals weekend.
Those in the bottom-four of the bottom-six carry their points into Phase Three and play each other once more, with the bottom-two then relegated to Division One.
Pushback times will follow.
