Holcombe Team of the Week – 17th/18th February, 2024

Congratulations to everyone included in the latest Holcombe Team of the Week!


Mark Foakes (Harriers/Heroes) – stepped in to help out after the Heroes match with the Harriers’ goalkeeper stuck in bad traffic, keeping two clean sheets and playing superbly.


Phil Bourne (M5s) – great performance.

Maddie Wellings (U16 Girls) – excellent in defence.

Kev Smith (Heroes) – super in the backline.

Hannah Bond (W1s) – strong performances.


Imogen Johnson (W4s/U16 Girls) – player of the match for the W4s, scored for the U16 Girls.

Etienne Bunker (U16 Girls) – player of the match.

Peter Brooks van Zyl (M5s) – player of the match.

Chloe Williams (U16 Girls) – super performance, scored in a comeback to draw 3-3 from 3-0 down.


Jon Goodall (Heroes) – scored twice.

Flo Wood (W3s) – player of the match, scored a hat-trick.


Phoebe Steele (W1s) – scored the late equaliser for our W1s to take a point from the league leaders on Sunday.

Rob Nichols (Hurricanes) – player of the match.

Dave Lee (Hurricanes) – strong display.

Chris Hatch (Hurricanes) – good performance.

Tabitha Goldup (U16 Girls) – excellent in goal.

Erik Duurejargal (Heroes) – player of the match.

Alex South (M6s) – player of the match.


Tracey & Ian Shelley – were due to umpire the W3s match but moved onto the M6s as the W3s ended up with appointed umpires.

Ali Shelley – stepped in at the last minute to umpire the Harriers match so Mark Foakes could go in goal rather than umpire.
