Rob Field wins International Player of the Year (Sponsored by QTV) at Scottish Hockey Awards

By Lucas Ball

Congratulations to M1s’ vice-captain Rob Field who has won the International Player of the Year award (sponsored by QTV) at the Scottish Hockey Awards having been nominated alongside Lee Morton and Andrew McConnell.

Field has scored two goals so far this season with our M1s sat third in the Premier Division table at the end of Phase One.

The ceremony took place at the Village Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday night, and was hosted by award winning stand-up comedian Susie McCabe.

The 29-year-old has 26 caps for his country and has scored one goal.

With Holcombe’s next action coming in Phase Two of the Premier Division, Field will be hoping to help guide Barry Middleton’s side to a strong second half of the season after nine wins in 11 matches in Phase One.
