Holcombe player Rob Field was part of a Scotland side that won bronze at the EuroHockey Championship II in Dublin on Saturday following their 4-1 win over Italy in the third/fourth-place play-off.
Field, vice-captain for Holcombe, started every match for Jonny Caren’s side as they progressed through the group stage in second place courtesy of wins against Switzerland (3-0) and Turkey (10-0) and a narrow defeat to Italy (2-1).
Scotland were beaten 4-1 by hosts Ireland in the semi-finals but recovered well to beat Pool B opponents Italy in their final match to claim a place on the podium.
