Congratulations to both Claire Hales and Simon Major, former Holcombe member, who have both been selected for the upcoming Indoor World Cup for their respective teams – Hales for England over-50s and Major for Wales over-35s.
England and Wales will both be in action in Nottingham from March 28th to April 1st and all matches can be followed here.
England will face Alliance, Germany and the Netherlands in Pool A, playing each time twice before the top-two after those six games meet in the final.
Wales, meanwhile, will face Germany, Ghana, Scotland and the United States as they play four matches.
First then plays fourth in one semi-final, while second play third in the other ahead of the final. The two semi-final losers will also meet in a third/fourth-place play-off.
Fifth place from the pool stage will take on fifth place from the over-40s group in a friendly, too.
The news follows Jennie Hoyte’s recent selection for the England over-50s (outdoor) for their Four Nations tournament at the Nottingham Hockey Centre in June.
